How to change default currency sign ($, dollar)?

TrueCafe doesn't have a built-in currency sign. It uses your local Windows regional settings. Use Windows Control Panel > Regional Options > Customize > Currency to change your currency sign.

In order to change the currency sign in TrueCafe Web Reports, check the Default user account checkbox on the Regional Options > Advanced tab.

How to unlock my screen locked by TrueCafe Client?

Demo version: type closetruecafe as a password and press Enter. Login remains empty.

Registered version: type your unlocking code as a password and press Enter. Login remains empty. You can find your unlocking code in your TrueCafe registration email.

My customers use CLOSETRUECAFE to unlock terminals. How to disable this?

This feature is disabled in the registered version. You can use your personal (secret) unlocking code instead.

How can I change my personal unlocking code?

Due to some security reasons you can't change your unlocking code yourself. Please email us your "change code" request to support@truecafe.net and let us know what TrueCafe version you're using. We'll disable your current unlocking code, rebuild the program and send you the updated installation and your new unlocking code. You'll have to re-install TrueCafe Client on your terminals.

So you see, it makes sense to keep your unlocking code secure! ;)

Do I have to pay for upgrades?

No, you don't have to pay for the new versions. All minor and major upgrades are provided for free, your TrueCafe license key remains acceptable for all upgrades.

Can I add more terminals to my license?

Yes, you can. You place an order for a number of terminals you want to add and inform us that this is the upgrade. Please note that the upgraded license cost you more than a license purchased from the beginning.

For example:

10 terminals = $280
20 terminals = $360
if you upgrade 10 + 10, you pay $280 + $280 = $560 (not $360).

So if you expect your business to grow in the near future please consider purchasing more licenses.

How many Wi-Fi connections available in my license?

It depends on a total number of terminals in your license and a number of your desktop computers.

For example:

Your license = 10 terminals
You add 6 desktop computers (PCs),
Then you have 10 - 6 = 4 simultaneous wi-fi connections available.

What TrueCafe exceptions I have to add to my firewall?

Server side: TrueCafe.exe and TrueCafeServer.exe.

Client side: Client.exe.

How to fix "Cannot connect to Server (10060..." error?

When I try to login from the TrueCafe Client side, I get the following error:

"Cannot connect to server (10060 : The connection attempt failed because the contacted party did not properly reespond after a period of time)"

How to fix this?

There are 3 possible reasons of such an problem:

1) Incorrect Server IP address option on the TrueCafe Client side. Press the Options button on the TrueCafe Client login dialog and make sure that Server IP is correct.

2) Connections are blocked by a firewall on either server or terminal side. Try disabling your firewalls and connect again.

3) Connections are blocked by incorrect TrueCafe Wi-Fi billing setup. Try disabling TrueCafe Wi-Fi billing (main menu > Tools > Internet... > Wi-Fi billing) and connect again.

How to fix "Cannot connect to Server (10061..." error?

When I try to login from the TrueCafe Client side, I get the following error:

"Cannot connect to server (10061 : No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it)"

How to fix this?

There are 2 possible reasons of such an problem:

1) Incorrect Server IP address option on the TrueCafe Client side. Press the Options button on the TrueCafe Client login dialog and make sure that Server IP is correct.

2) Connections are blocked by a firewall on either server or terminal side. Try disabling your firewalls and connect again.
